I have been being respectably healthy with my mental health as well as physical. I have also been getting together with lots of wonderful people and meeting all kinds of wonderful souls here and there. I am excited about life!

A small and sweet post before I go to bed! Goodnight everyone. Thank you for the love you provide me with by reading my blog. Whether you are my internet blogging friends (who I love so much) or my friends who have started reading my blog (I love you too!) Thank you! It means so much to me to have people here for me and interested enough in my life to read about it!

No More UnsincereThank Yous

A friend called me cute.
"You're so cute!"
I laughed and let the words slide.

They went into my mind
like a bullet
and flew out of my mind
like a jet plane.

I was quiet.
He wondered why.
"No, thank you?" he asked.
I thought about it for a quick second.

you are cute
I know I am
but that is on the outside!

Why don't you look at what is within
say I am beautiful from within
tell me I have grace
remind me that I can make people smile
show me the kind of person I am from within

how do I make you feel about yourself?
tell me how you feel when I'm around you.

"You don't take compliments well."
I know.
I'm sorry I don't
At least I know why.

I am a single daisy in a field of dandelions.
the dandelions don't mind being told they are pretty
because it's rare for it to happen. Only people with a good heart see the beauty in a weed.
The dandelions get complimented on how astonishing they are from within
the daisy doesn't.

I am the Dasiy
I always get called pretty.
People marble with wide eyes and smile when they see me
They see something sweet, and pleasant to the eyes.
People tell me I am sweet and pretty all the time
but they don't tell me I am more than what is on the outside.

I am more than pretty.
I know that.
I am all colors of beautiful from the inside
but only the people who sincerely see me
see the colors I have from within.

Please. Look. Deeper within Me.
Please. Tell me what you see in me.
I promise you if you do I will glow.
and my heart will be permanently pleased.

I am sorry for not saying thank you
but I will not be sorry for it anymore.
If you tell this daisy she is beautiful by your eyes

trust me.
she won't say thank you
because she knows she can have better.

A Different Mindset

We need to start thinking about ourselves differently. We are influential people. We create our own power and give it to others or objects. It's not the other way around.

It's not that we are pretty because of the shirt we are wearing, it's the shirt is pretty because we are wearing it.

WE give the shirt power. The shirt does not give us power or confidence. I want you to know that you are powerful and you can either give that power away or keep it to yourself and better yourself.

My dance teacher had a mini rant about chewing gum in the studio. For any of you dancers you know that's a huge NO. What I didn't expect was for him to talk to the whole group of dancers about how the gum doesn't make you cool. "I know for some of you chewing gum is a habit and it's a part of you but if you think that you need to chew gum in order to be cool that's wrong, you are giving too much power to something so little," he said something similar to this. He went on to talk about how we are what makes the gum cool. That the gum should not make you cool, you should make the gum cool. This discussion took a good 5 minutes out of our dance time but it was worth it because not just any dance teacher will take time out of their class to better their student's mind.

This mini conversation we had in the dance studio made me think about how I looked at things that were like the gum.

I thought about the clothes I wear and the makeup I put on and then I realized I subconsciously thought that the clothes I am wearing were making me more confident and were giving me something I could not give myself.

I am wrong.

I don't need anything to make me more confident or cool. I am everything already! I am what makes things look excellent. I have it all already. I just need to remind myself to think like this more often.

I share this with you so that you can reevaluate the way you think too.

Change the way you think about yourself and I promise you that you will open yourself up to more self-love.

Over the past few days, I feel like I have changed for the better with only one small mindset change. I challenge you to think about this and make some small changes to the way you think. We can all change the way we think to better our lives.

Have you realized that you think this way too?
Do you like posts that are related to self-love?

If I Were A Beauty Blogger #2

Fashion and beauty blogging is how I started blogging. Freshman year of high school I walked around blogger like I was a beauty expert. Little did I know, that beauty blogging would get old and little did I know that later I would find out that I knew close to nothing about beauty and fashion. However, since I was doing this kind of stuff for a whole year, I did grow to miss posts full of make- up advice and clothing halls.

NYX cosmetics have always been a product I wanted to try. While shopping I saw they had a buy one get one-half off deal so I skipped on over to the whole NYX section and picked some stuff out. I got two concealers (one that matches my tone and a horrid green one) and A lip liner and gloss. (Gloss: Chocolate Crepe Lip Liner: Mauve) I am actually pretty obsessed with the liner and gloss. The thing about this color of gloss and liner is that it's a little brown which to my surprise I really like, A LOT.

This shirt is ME. Breakfast every day and all day, please! When I saw this shirt I couldn't pass it up. It's cute, comfy, and has a message that reflects who I am and what I love. Clothing like that is a 10/10. I'm wearing this shirt today!

Nordstrom's clearance section is my favorite. As a thrift shopper only I love bargains and I feel like I am getting my money worth when I find a brand new shirt for 10 dollars. All these shirts were 11 dollars or less.

Isn't this shirt lovely? A low cut v-neck with a fringe floral pattern. Perfection.

This shirt is something I want to wear now and probably will, even though I envision myself wearing it in Autumn. It's a slowly longer shirt with a little peek-a-boo slit. I am slowly trying to transition my closet into one that isn't so plain so this hall is a step in the right direction.

Where you ever a beauty blogger?
Have you tried NYX cosmetics
Which shirt is your favorite?

we all grew up together
we now all share the same childhood stories.

the countless laughs we shared
the adventures we all went on
then phases we went through
and the love we had.

childhood was a dream.
and because it is so close to our hearts
when we see each other after not seeing one another in a while
it's a warm familiarity.

i remember how much i miss everyone
as we all laugh at the things we did at a younger age.

thankful and blessed to have something like this in my life.

It's been a lovely day. The kind of day where you laugh at old memories and the awkward stages you went through as a child while you catch up on each other's lives. It's so nostalgic that I am in love.

Today has been good. I got some chores done, ran, cooked, and I spent the last half of my day teaching my sister and our childhood friend how to waltz. It was so much fun and we made a lot of progress within the dance. The dance is going to look so great when they perform their dance.

Just in love with the day!

I'm Doing Monthly Goals Again!

It's been since last year since I have done a monthly goals post, but I'm back at it because I miss it. I REALLY DO. I regret stopping making monthly goals (Is that correct Grammar?) Monthly goals were so beneficial, and I didn't realize it until I started and finished. So, for all you bloggers recapping your month and talking about your new monthly goals: You guys rock! Keep it up I enjoy reading those posts a lot too.

Plan out my sister's surprise dance and attend her quinceanera- My sister is having a quinceanera and we are planning out a few dances for her so we've got to work on those. Super excited for her quinceanera this month! It's going to be so much fun!!

Eat less sugar- I like sweet coffee and sweets in general but I think it's causing me to break out more so with that being said I am going to try to minims my sugar intakes.

Run more- I'm too busy to go to the gym at the moment so running is currently how I am getting my exercise in. It's been REAL fun! (Nope, it's been hard I have blisters that I am running with) The past couple of days I have been pushing myself to get back into running mode by doing hill sprints, long runs, and mile focuses. Right now, my mile time is 7:48 through the neighborhood loop which has hills but I am hoping to improve that time.
