January 2016 Goals

Well, this is the start of my monthly goal series!!! Each month will have a few goals and as it goes on I will write what I have done in the month. The goals are made to help me become a better person, achieve things I have wanted to get done, and keep life organized.

The following goals will be written near my bed, fridge, and binder to remind me of the things in my life I want to improve.

1. Get lower on the splits
To be able to do the splits is a goal I have wanted for a long time! I have tried many times, but then fail to follow through after a week or two of constant stretching. I want to be able to do the splits because it makes other things I want to do easier too. (Back walkovers)

2. Treat all people with kindness, family first
Year 2016 is a year we are suppose to show mercy towards others and I want to start the year off by showing kindness to everyone, liked or not. I will start to show more kindness to my family and then spread that towards my friends. Kindness is something we all need to work on, whether it be showing someone you love them, standing up for them, making someone feel better, or simply helping them, I want to be a kinder person.

3. Eat healthy
Yep, this is mentioned on my blog a lot, and here it is again. I want to keep eating healthy. Over the holidays I was careful what I ate but still slipped. With January here and no reason to eat like a crazy person, I will be eating very healthy again! What fun. I am doing this because I love my body and I want to feel better about what I ate on a daily bases. I tend to snack a lot coming home from school or have a big dinner so minimizing that is one way I will be healthier.

Much Love,
Vanessa

  4. YAYYY, GOAALLLLSS! *screeches in* hiii. I just kind of adore these end of year/beginning of year posts for some reason?? like I've read so many and I find them all so uniquely fascinating and interesting and I just love to read what all of you creative, ambitious people have planned for 2016! It's awesome. ;) OOOOH and yours is super cool because it's gonna be here each month? EEP! Can't wait to read these! Sounds great. ♥

DUDE, SPLITS ARE IMPRESSIVE. I'm slowly working my way up to them in yoga, but ugh I've got a long way to go and I don't allot as much time to deep stretching as I'd like to. And your second goal is just beautiful. YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL SOUL. THE WORLD NEEDS MORE OF YOU. For real. I should work on that too. I love so wildly, but my frustration often gets the better of me. (oops..) And yes, eating healthy is a must. I like to tell people that when you eat healthy, literally every area of your life starts to look more promising! Because when you're not poisoning your body with bad food, you're happier, healthier, and have more energy (and more capacity to do those things you love.)

WONDERFUL POST, DEAR. ♥ You're going to accomplish awesome things this year, I can feel it. ;)

    love,

  6. This is such a brilliant series idea, I love it! I'm so excited to see what you'll be writing in the upcoming months; your posts are always so wonderful.

One of my new years resolutions of the new year is to eat more healthily, as I've found myself binge eating a LOT in the past few months, so let me know how you do! I'd love to see a post on what kind of meals, or healthy-alternative snacks and drinks you have sometime!

  8. I like your goal of treating everyone with kindness.A few rude words can spoil a person's day so its very important we treat everyone with love.
